He saw a moving object came near the bench, he hugged it with all his might and used his teeth on it. Some one screamed in agony and fell down. The noise brought Swami’s father, cook and a servant into the office room. Swami had caught the most notorious house-breaker of the district and police honoured him. This incident made Swami a hero one might.

In such state of hopelessness his little daughter held in icy hands and asked him if the god that protect them on land would do the same to them on sea. Her faith in god filled the sailors with a new hope. The next morning, the storm cleared and they reached harbour safely.
