Sam Harmuzji Pramji Jameshedji Manekshaw or Sam Manekshaw was bom in Amritsar on 3 April 1914. After completing his class XI from Sherwood College in Nainital, he passed out from the Indian Military Academy at Dehra Dun in 1934, when he was 22 years old.
